I find myself overwhelmed by all the need in the world. I get caught up in thoughts about whether one person really can make a difference, though I want to believe it. I have chronciled on this blog over the last year or so how incredibly close to bankruptcy our family has been for almost 4 years. At any moment, one of the plates spinning in the air could have crashed to the ground and it would have been "game over."
But, here we are rounding into year 5 and I cannot believe that we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Oh let me tell you, year 1 was so hard on our marriage and year 2 was not much better. But by Year 3 we started figuring how to get on each other's side and stop playing the "blame game."
So, 2010. This little etsy shop I have had the pleasure to experience -and in turn experience so many LOVELY AND GENUINE people (insert your name here PLEASE!). Well, I wanted to use it as a vehicle for community giving. So through a crazy and haphazard series of events that have gone on for over 10 years, the organization I would love for us to help is called "WE CARE." All this to say, THANK YOU. This has been a scary journey and I had no promises about how it was going to turn out. But the journey has been more rich with the encouragement and friendship of this commmunity.
